To store fresh sourdough bread, it’s best to keep it at room temperature in a paper bag or bread box to allow air circulation while preventing it from drying out too quickly. Avoid storing sourdough bread in plastic bags, as they can create excess moisture and lead to mold growth. If you won’t consume it within a few days, you can freeze sourdough bread. Slice it first, then wrap tightly in plastic wrap and place in freezer bag. When ready to eat, thaw slices at room temperature or lightly toast them.
